DANIELĖ BALSYTĖ Projects | Gallery | Exhibitions | Prints
Danielė Balsytė is a Lithuanian-born, UK-based visual artist currently residing in London. She graduated from the University of Portsmouth in 2024 in BA Photography, where her focus evolved from fashion photography to documentary work addressing socio-political issues. Her work explores intersections of memory, history, and visibility, often highlighting what is overlooked, silenced, or erased from collective memory. She is particularly drawn to landscapes, not only as physical spaces, but as quiet witnesses to the passage of time, holding the weight of both personal and collective narratives.
Alongside her artistic practise, Danielė has experience in portrait, fashion, travel, street, and event photography. She has built a porfolio working with international brands such as Vello D’oro and InMotion UK, been published in Dutch arts magazine, and nominated for the prestigious Graduate Platform Award 2024.
